The European Central Bank (ECB) plans to construct its new premises in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.It has already tendered an architect and the planning team. Upcoming tenders focus on construction works, starting with the contract for preliminary works (construction pit, sheeting and foundation piles - tender ongoing) and followed by the tender for the main construction works which will be awarded to a general contractor (tender to start in August, 2007). Tenders for other services required during the construction phase or for the operation of the building (e.g. facility management) will be initiated in due course.
